Why is it socially acceptable to buy women?

I have beef with strip clubs. Anyone who knows me, knows this. I can point to a million reasons why it devalues, dehumanizes, and disrespects women and why it speaks poorly of men and our greater culture at large.

What I find incredibly frustrating is that somehow people see strip clubs to be so different from prostitution. I hate to break it people, but bikini latte stands, strip clubs, and prostitution are at their core the same thing: paying for a woman- they are just on a spectrum. Women and their bodies are not commodities. Yet our culture treats them as such.

It is repulsive.
