Why Women Still Can’t Have It All - The Atlantic
A coworker sent me an article that more of less chastised women for not being ambitious enough, and essentially blaming many of the gender inequalities in the work place and the home to women just not wanting things hard enough. Not all of the article was this ridiculous, in fact it provided a lot of keen insights into being a woman in the workplace and the challenges we face. However it reached the wrong conclusions and placed too much accountability on the already burdened shoulders of women. It also failed to recognize how mistreatment towards women also disadvantages men. A critique of that article lead me to this one, which is beyond brilliant and addresses systemic issues preventing women and/or ridiculing women for not achieving the same success as their male counterparts.
This is a worthwhile read.
