The opposite of love...

"Hate is not the opposite of love; apathy is."

My mother always told me that time heals all wounds. I have always known she was right. But I never realized until tonight that the reason why time heals all wounds is because over time you become apathetic.

You become apathetic towards love lost, betrayals, lies... all of it. Just like a cut you forget about that scabs and heals without you ever noticing. There may be a slight trace of it left on your skin. But it is faint, almost unnoticeable. And if anything it adds character and makes you unique.

Apathy. The greatest cure for a broken heart. I pray for you.
